Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Moonstar SGMaxicab Singapore. By booking our services, you (the "Customer") agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General Booking Policy

  • Pre-Booking Required: As a private hire service, all trips must be pre-booked via our website, WhatsApp, or hotline. Our drivers are not permitted to accept street hails.

  • Confirmation: A booking is only considered "confirmed" once you receive a confirmation message (Email/WhatsApp/SMS) containing your driver and vehicle details.

  • Accuracy: It is the Customer’s responsibility to provide accurate locations, pickup times, flight numbers, and contact details. Moonstar SGMaxicab is not liable for delays caused by incorrect information.

2. Fare Structure & Surcharges

  • All-Inclusive Pricing: Standard quotes include fuel, tolls (ERP), and parking charges unless stated otherwise.

  • Midnight Surcharge: A surcharge of S$12 applies for all bookings between 23:00 (11pm) to 06:00.

  • Additional Stops: An extra charge of $10–$20 (depending on distance) applies for each additional stop not mentioned at the time of booking.

  • Holiday Surcharge: Additional S$12 fees may apply during major public holidays (e.g., Chinese New Year, New Year’s Eve).

 

3. Waiting Time Policy

  • Airport/Cruise Arrival: Includes 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time from the actual landing/docking time.

  • Departures/Point-to-Point: Includes 15 minutes of complimentary waiting time.

  • Extended Waiting: After the complimentary window, waiting charges apply at $10 per 15-minute block.

 

4. Luggage & Passenger Capacity

  • Safety First: Each passenger must have an individual seat. Overloading is strictly prohibited by Land Transport Authority (LTA) regulations.

  • Luggage Allowance: Customers must book a vehicle with sufficient space for their luggage. 

  • Oversized Items: Items such as bicycles, surfboards, or golf clubs must be declared in advance. We reserve the right to refuse service if the luggage exceeds the vehicle's safe capacity.

 

5. Onboard Conduct & Damage

  • Strictly Prohibited: Smoking, vaping, and the consumption of strong-smelling food (like durian) are strictly prohibited inside the vehicle.

  • Cleaning Fee: A cleaning fee of $50–$150 will be charged for any vomiting, spillage, or excessive littering that requires professional cleaning.

  • Damage: The Customer is liable for any physical damage caused to the vehicle by members of their group.

 

6. Child Safety

  • Child Seats: In accordance with Singapore law, private hire cars are not exempt from child restraint requirements. While we can provide infant/booster seats upon request (subject to a small fee S$12), it is the Customer’s responsibility to request them at the time of booking.

 

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for full details.

  • Full refunds are provided for cancellations made more than 6 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 6 hours' notice are non-refundable.

 

8. Limitation of Liability

  • While we strive for 100% punctuality, Moonstar SGMaxicab is not liable for delays caused by extreme weather, heavy traffic, road accidents, or vehicle breakdowns. In such events, we will attempt to provide a replacement vehicle as quickly as possible.

 

9. Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
